Digital Impressions

Before we give a patient a denture, veneers, or other type of restoration, we often need to take an impression of their teeth. For decades, this was done by having the person bite into an awkward mold filled with messy, gag-inducing dental putty, but not anymore! Now we use a small device to quickly scan the mouth to give us a digital impression that is much more accurate than traditional physical models (plus the process is WAY less messy).

CT/Cone Beam Scanner

In a matter of seconds, the arm of our cone beam scanner spins, and it almost instantly captures several high-definition X-ray images of a patient’s dental anatomy. In addition to showing us all of the teeth in a single image, we can also look at the health of the underlying bone, structure of the upper airway, and more. The result is a fully 3D map that we can use to plan more complicated procedures as well as establish a baseline when we see a patient for the first time.

Intraoral Camera

Our intraoral camera is a pen-shaped device that not only makes it easier for us to see inside your mouth, but you as well! Rather than just having to take our word for it about what’s going on, we can show you using highly detailed images on a nearby monitor. This adds certainty to the dental process both for us and you, making care decisions much more straightforward.
